After going to PT, radiology, ortho, neuro, etc. I had four different uncoordinated opinions on my back injury, and a diverse set of remedies that had plateaued in effectiveness. From Optimal Performance I got an integrated, detailed diagnosis looking at all of the data, and a simple (if difficult) rehab program. A few months later my symptoms were down to a minor annoyance and I was back to skiing and climbing as well (or better) than before the injury. Dr. Luko is a gem. I spent 2 years going to many doctors, physical therapists, chiropractors, and none of them could fix my lower back pain. After reading Dr. McGill’s book, I reached out to Dr. Luko and as they say, the rest is history. He quickly diagnosed the issues and methodically gave me the guidance and encouragement to fix them. I actually just emailed him this weekend that I went skiing and felt no pain for the first time in years. Highly recommended!
I've had acute, intermittent lower back problems for about 25 years, infrequent but leaving me hunched over, in intense pain and not able to get around for several days at a time. I never went for an MRI etc because there was no radiation of pain or dysfunction apart from the lumbar region.
