After seeing low reviews I have to give a 5 star review. My husband recently had sudden vision loss for no reason and the team in Fairfax was incredible to us in helping us find a diagnosis. It took time but the Dr.'s and nursing team were great at explaining to us each step along the way. Diagnostic medicine is no easy thing and the team there did their job to rule out everything they could. While it was scary, they were able to help us find the path forward. John in the ER with a sloth skull cap was fantastic. He really listened to my husband, our concerns, and helped us to get to the right Doctors. To the Neurosurgical, Neurology, Internal medicine and the Neuro nursing team, thank you helping us find clarity as to what it is not and who can give us answers.
After seeing such low reviews I had to leave a 5 star review. We have been in ffx hospital for a few days unfortunately but they have been completely amazing. All the nurse staff in the trauma care unit have been so understanding and helpful. The facility itself is very upgraded and they really stay on top of everything. The care given for this situation has been exceptional and I wouldn't recommend any other place. Truly feel blessed to be receiving such great care under unfortunate circumstances.
I had a full hysterectomy with much cutting for thick adhesions throughout. This was not laparoscopic but an open cut. This place plays games with whether I can get pain control medication even with major abdominal surgery. I ask & they move back the time I can receive it & then the muse is not available to provide at the later time. The moves in their game are consistent. I would like to file a formal complaint about it. I recommend that you keep a notebook of days & times you ask for medication & when you actually receive it. I believe that once they didn't give it to me at all I was then unable to walk as part of post op recovery protocol. My pain was horrible & then I had to beg for dilaudid shot. This is a serious problem for people facing surgical trauma & trying to heal. I am not a substance user, don't drink & not prone to addiction. I only needed short term pain management of 7-10 days.
