“My wife used glam set go for her wedding day hair and makeup. Sonali was very responsive and Areyka was a Rockstar with a makeup brush. Only issue was we had a change of hair stylist literally 24 hours before the wedding because Rita's skills were needed elsewhere. Though Victoria (the replacement) was great, the hair wasn't the same as the trial as a result. “I found Luxe Studio on Instagram while searching for a DMV hair stylist who makes wigs. The wigs on their IG page are stunning. I wear a wig everyday due to thinning in my crown and recently have had nothing but bad luck purchasing wigs online. So I reached out and was pleasantly surprised to learn that Monica the owner could customize a wig for me in a week. After placing the order, I couldn’t help but wonder if she could also help with my short 4c natural hair, which I dread doing. Well, let me tell you! I booked an appointment and Monica gave me the works. She texturized, used a steamer, and custom colored my coils—my hair even had body! I also left with a wig styled exactly like the one I’d been looking for online for months! My experience with Luxe Studio and Monica was exceptional. I had thick, virgin, Asian hair and spent almost $2,000 at two other salons trying to get to ashy bronde, but only ended up with brassy balayage first, and weird blonde streaks/highlights with my hair toned to basically my natural color...which turned brassy after the first wash 48 hours later. Mind you, I showed these places the exact photos of what I wanted and they said they could deliver. But NOPE, Jobi was the only one who actually did...and in one appointment!!! He did a color correction to fix the botched work, and then lifted and toned. It was exactly what I wanted, and my hair was still healthy!! “I got my hair done by Nia in February 2024 and I still think about how amazing my hair felt afterwards at least once a week. I never leave reviews but felt the need to for this experience. Nia was so chill but efficient. She had me in and out of the chair within an hour which I have never in my life experienced with my thick curly 3b hair.
