Took a long time to work through all the underlying problems as I came out of an Achilles repair. Sarah was outstanding! She is a very savvy and intuitive clinician. Her warmth and supportive attitude go a long way as I worked through the process of learning and relearning how to walk again. With her range of therapies and skill set, we were a very successful team, she told me what I needed to do between visits and I put in the work. Massage and sometimes a wee bit of pain were part of the necessary progression. I could not recommend WIM enough! I worked with both Caitlin and Erica who helped me sort through postpartum pelvic floor dysfunction and orthopedic issues effectively and with so much kindness. They were both incredibly knowledgeable and set up realistic plans for me to make progress with 3 young children. I felt supported, informed, and most importantly hopeful that recovery was possible, which happy to say with their expertise it has been!
I’ve been going to Women in Motion since having my first baby over 2.5 years ago. I had a distant history of major abdominal surgery, and pregnancy resulted in multiple ventral hernias where the previous surgical incision was. I started going to WiM to manage the hernia symptoms and strengthen my core.I worked with several of the physical therapists at WiM. They are all great and bring their own expertise. I did end up needing surgery to fix the hernias, but the PTs helped improve movement patterns and strengthen my pelvic floor and deep abdominal muscles before and after surgery.
