Bishop's Barber Shop takes walkins! One of the few that does that. Very friendly, good, positive community. I don't always like the distraction of the radio but he seems to really like it. Cash only, maybe he takes checks?
Bobby has been cutting my husband's hair for over 30 years.. first starting from when he was an undergrad at uva. Our girls loved tagging along with their daddy bc Mr. Bishop would give them lollipops and make fun conversations with them. He's funny, caring and does his job very well. The comments saying that he's a racist can't be further from the truth. We're a minority family.
The people writing bad reviews must have an ax to grind. Bobby is a character! Funny, witty, sarcastic, opinionated, wise and yes, Southern! Very Southern! A racist? You're an idiot if you think or wrote that. He has black and Mexican married into his family and he loves everyone and acts according to how they act. If your a nut, a complainer, rude or anything negative, he will act accordingly. But he does tease Yankees. He has been teasing me for 30 years! And I tease that old redneck back just as much! lol Bobby delivers first rate, plain old men's haircuts.
