“Went to Nicky for a trial and styling for my wedding. She was so great at listening to what I wanted (even when I wasn't really sure what that was). When my wedding day arrived rainy, she rolled with the punches and changed the style up at the last minute. She was also great at incorporating a headpiece that held a lot of sentimental value, even when the combs were sewed on in the wrong direction. My hair held up so well to the rain and dancing. Would definitely recommend Nicky (and Anne Marie and Co) to any other brides or folks needing special occasion hair.“

“I have been going to Melissa for more years (decades) than I want to admit. She always comes through fixing whatever I've done to my hair. I would go to her regularly if I didn't live in another state. She's tames my natural curls and she's been giving me a mean silk press since the 90s. She's given me keratin treatments and relaxers and brought me back to natural. You won't find another stylist who cares about the health of your hair and what you want. She's not scissor happy. She's like family. She gives you one- on-one time and you're not waiting forever. Her teachings got my hair down my back and almost to my butt until I stopped getting those daggone trims. Why would I do that? Don't make the mistakes I've made. Stick with her if you can. If you're on a natural journey, she's your stylist. I can't say enough good things!! In the picture, she took me from a fade, uneven grow out to a 90s haircut. She didn't cut the fade, but she did get my style my natural tresses in a way that would grow out nicely. She knows me. She knows I am going to be back in due time asking for her to fix my hair again. I love her so much!!“

Previously, I tried to two different local salons advertising wavy/curly hair specialists, and left with straight, blown-out hair, despite being up front about not wanting a blow out or a radical change to my appearance. “Wonderful environment, professional and very clean. Ms. Terrie is a wonderful, kind and compassionate hair stylist. When I saw her I was experiencing issues with hair dye, as well as breakage and dryness (I am biracial with 3C/4A curls). Ms. Terrie explained to me how she puts the health of the hair first and then she took the time to get my color right. After my color I wanted a trim but, not loose the length. And Ms. Terrie explained to me the difference between a dusting and a trim. She looked out for me and gave me a dusting yet, maintained my length. Lastly, she gave me a blowout and WOW! Ms. Terrie's blowouts are amazing. My hair look beautiful, sleek and styled beautiful. Before leaving my first visit, I purchased Ms. Terrie's Herbal Heal hair oil to help with the breakage and dryness. Six months later, my hair is longer, stronger and healthy. “I came in for a haircut to remove a lot of damage done by many home dyes during the pandemic. The salon was able to get me in same day and then even reschedule for later in the afternoon when my childcare changed. As a single mom this was so appreciated! The salon was clean and calm. The stylist listened carefully to my hair goals and was so gentle with my damaged hair. She worked efficiently though so I was in and out in 35 minutes. She did a cold water rinse which was awesome for my damaged locks. She cut my hair exactly how I wanted it and it feels so much healthier.
