We have used Pender for several decades for our Golden Retrievers. The staff has been very courteous. Our pets have been happy to go there and were well taken care of. The close by medical facilities is comforting .
Our dog Cheeto has special needs and Sharon could not have been more understanding and patient with him. We felt so comfortable leaving Cheeto in Sharon's care because they asked so many questions and made so many plans for how to keep him safe. We weren't sure if they would be able to pet Cheeto or take him outside, but Sharon worked their magic and sent us a celebratory photo of Cheeto on a leash! We could not be more excited to have found Pender Pet Retreat to take care of Cheeto when we can't bring him along on a trip.
This was my first time using a boarding service. I'm really glad I picked Pender. We got our dog a presidential suite which was a great choice, as we could watch our dog 24/7 through the camera.The team was very diligent with caring for my dog. They have a specific feeding routine which they worked around for my dog bc he wasn't eating from being so nervous. They made sure to let me know he wasn't eating and gave me some options that helped him out.Watching my dog through the camera interacting with the team was really nice as I could tell he was not scared of them which means a lot to me as he is a rescue with trauma and doesn't always do well with... read full review
