I had them install a replacement system for HVAC, very quick and relatively cheap. They put in a series of heat pumps for my parents as well. Additionally, 2 years ago I had some ductwork replaced by Air Conditioning Services that was leaking. Always had good experience especially with their price and speed.
This firm installed two Carrier heat pumps unit for me about 10 years ago and just installed a Carrier-Midea mini-sync heat pump for a large sun-room. I used to do utility consumption modeling for the Federal government and was probably an annoyance with all the different specs and models I wanted to compare before choosing, but they were always polite. I was very pleased with both their prices and work. I confess to having a bias towards Carrier products over a number of moves because they seem to offer a good cost/reliability/efficiency mix than two other brands I've tried. Also, I got the energy savings I expected with the Carrier models more-so than with two other well-rated brands. We are fortunate to have other good contractors and equipment choices in our area, but I recommend getting a quote from this firm if you are in the market. One suggestion: learn what SEER and HSPF mean and use those ratings when deciding how much to spend when considering more efficient units. Sometimes the payback on a higher efficiency unit easily justifies a higher cost, and sometimes it doesn't.
When one of my two heat pumps died three years ago a co-worker who moonlights as an energy auditor recommended getting at least four different estimates. That turned out to be excellent advice, since the quotes and the impressions I got from the six companies I had give me estimates were all over the map. When Karl from Air Conditioning Servicers came to my house he spent longer than the people from the other companies did inspecting my house and existing system. He pointed out a bunch of things about system that failed that likely lead to its early demist and he seemed like a real straight shooter. When his quote came in it was the second lowest and included a higher SEER heat pump than the lowest estimate did, so I went with his company and it is working way better than the old system did. Since then he has performed my annual services for me, and last week I had him replace my other heat pump, which was very unreliable, and replace some ductwork. The work on the second heat pump was completed less than a week after I requested an estimate, and I was impressed that he went beyond the letter of the contract to fix a couple unforeseen problems that appeared during the installation without charging me extra. While I highly recommend obtaining multiple estimates before having any major work done, I have been very happy with Air Conditioning Servicers, and I think they do excellent work at a reasonable price. (For the record I have no affiliation with Air Conditioning Servicers besides being a customer)
