About Main Street Veterinary Clinic
Main Street Veterinary Clinic (MSVC) is a women-owned clinic dedicated to providing personalized veterinary care for cats and dogs. With a long-standing presence in the Blacksburg, VA community for over 40 years, the caring and experienced owners aim to offer comprehensive, individualized veterinary services to local pets and their owners. MSVC is the only locally-owned veterinary clinic in town. Customers often praise the clinic's outstanding customer service, friendly staff, and reasonable prices. The veterinarians are known for being super understanding and thorough, taking all concerns seriously. The clinic maintains a high level of cleanliness and offers minimal wait times, along with an efficient paperwork process. The staff is excellent at handling "high maintenance" animals, and everyone is professional and kind. The clinic is especially appreciated for its ability to see pets on the same day in urgent cases, such as eye injuries, and for helping clients navigate treatments, costs, and insurance options. Despite some limited resources, staff are helpful in referring clients to the Virginia Tech Animal Clinic and guiding them through the process. Overall, many reviewers highly recommend MSVC, especially for new residents or those seeking a change in veterinary care. The compassionate staff also provides tender care during difficult moments, such as saying goodbye to beloved pets.
We recently had to say an emotional and heart wrenching goodbye to our 12 year old yellow lab mix.
The tender care that your staff provided is greatly appreciated and we are most thankful. Your endless patience and understanding has helped us with our loss.
We have been going here for years. They are very friendly and knowledge, the staff is excellent at handling "high maintenance" animals. Everyone we have met here has always been professional and kind. Highly recommend!
They were so great to be able to take my cat in the same day due to a concerning eye injury, but were very quick in getting her records and getting her up to date with her shots. They were even able to answer all of my questions regarding treatments, costs, and insurance. They unfortunately have limited resources, but referred me directly to the Virginia Tech Animal Clinic and helped walk me through the process with them and to get set up with insurance they will take. Will likely be going back to get my baby's teeth cleaned and fixed once we get the okay from Virginia Tech vet cardiology. Truly professional compared to other vets I've been to in the NRV.
