I expected to have to wait a long while to get him to come over because of the demands of a HVAC engineer on hot, hot summer days.

I was wrong— He came over first thing that morning, arriving before 7:00 a.m. He flushed the clog, checked all the condensers and repaired the upper unit to stop the problem. He made suggestions about maintenance that I had not considered. But most importantly, he came over in the sweltering heat so that I would have air conditioning, and he made sure that my the water dripping into my ceiling stopped, thus avoiding a catastrophic ceiling collapse.
