“From beginning to end, Wilber and his team were excellent! When we called for the first time, Wilber himself answered and he came to our home to give us a quote a day or two later. Wilber is professional, conscientious and cares about doing things the right way. He was also flexible when we made changes a few times. His team was professional, courteous, and they were always right on time. Each day Wilber would let us know the plan for the next day and the time they would arrive. Communication was excellent. If we had any areas that we wanted to be touched up a little more, or any changes, Wilber accommodated us. He even offered to return if needed if we scuffed the walls during our move out (we are selling our home). They made our home look new again, maybe even better than new! I would recommend Wilber S Painting 100%.

Description of work:
We had interior and exterior painting done, drywall repairs, wood rot repair, pressure washing of our foundation done before painting. Interior painting: kitchen (walls, ceiling, trim, doors), morning room (trim, walls), 2 story living room, including trim and doors, foyer area, stairwell, and master bath ceiling painted. We had many areas throughout the house that needed drywall repairs: cracking along the drywall tape, nail pops, cracks, chips, etc. We had exterior painting done: metal roofs over bay windows, bay windows painted, front door, foundation brick repainted. We had a door that had some wood rot and it had also been chewed a bit by a puppy that he fixed and made look new. Beautiful work and I am a perfectionist myself. It was worth every penny.“

“A kitchen remodel initiated by sub-floor movement turned into a transformation of "this old house"! There were so many unknowns at the first meeting with Tom. Each challenge was gradually exposed and the layers, all the way down to the soil, revealed additional components to the project (which added the adjoining 2 rooms). Opening a loadbearing wall had only been a dream, but Tom and his guys, Jon and Daniel, overcame ALL of the structural issues and were able to make it happen. The conditions were really rough for them in the middle of the process, but never a complaint, actually only singing! The timing was spot on, even with the extra repairs. Through the "change orders" of correcting the unknown issues as they arose, Dawn was extremely thorough with communication via email so there were NO financial surprises. She gently guided my decisions when I hadn't finalized some choices and even made my appointment with the tile company!The kitchen is the main entrance into this 100+ y/o farmhouse, and now when visitors come in, it's "WOW, NICE KITCHEN!" “You do not need to worry if genesis is a reputable company. They do what they say they will do.

I, and my family, don't really get estimates from other contractors because I don't need contractor hassles or unprofessional work. I just want to know the work will be done correctly.

I believe Genesis should be rated at 5 stars, but there is something for others to consider. A corner of my porch's concrete (6 inches to each side, not much) was knocked off during a railing install by Genesis. I don't blame Genesis nor the workman, the railing is First Class. For the concrete work Genesis requested an up-front payment of $400 for handyman work billed at $100 / hour. The work took at most 2 hours. The workman stayed at my home, in his truck, while the concrete set. After 9 hours I said the workman must leave because I must leave and can't let a workman be unaccompanied for many reasons. The next day I removed the wood forming the concrete repair myself. I later received a bill for $500 more for the time the workman waited. If I knew I would be billed for him to sit in his truck, I would have had other 'handyman' odd jobs done for my home. I am not upset with Genesis, nor the workman, but I should have been told I would be billed for someone to watch concrete dry. I repeat, I was billed for someone to watch 'concrete dry.'

So, I rate 5 stars even with the described handyman issue? Yes, Genesis did good work and has been very reputable for several jobs. Just ask the basic questions about billing up-front so you are not surprised. I plan to use Genesis again for several projects at my home.“
