After trying several salons in the area, Stylist at North was recommended to me on a military spouse FB page after I inquired about someone who was great with short hair. I came in with shoulder length hair and asked for, wait for it!: Abby wambach/pink/scarlet johnannsens (short hair with the fade) haircut and she delivered. It is rare to find a stylist comfortable with longer hair and with clippers. I sadly no longer live in the area but make sure I stop in for a haircut whenever I fly into town.Make sure you designate time for arrival and parking for first trip in because it took me some time to find parking and find where they’re located.“

“I went to Chevelle for a curly hair cut and she did a fantastic job!! I’ve gone years cutting my own hair after one too many professional cuts that ranged from meh to ommmg no. But it was time to risk it all and have a professional even out my super curly hair.I absolutely love the cut she gave me! It’s shorter than I’ve had before (necessary to remove all the dead ends and even out the back) but I know it will grow in exactly how I want. And in the meantime, I’m loving my cute bob :)She also gave me a recommendation for a new brush that I’m obsessed with and has made my curls look even more defined.10/10 will return!“

“Mona is the best hairstylist I’ve had in the DC area. She knows men’s hair like the back of her hand and could teach classes given how good she is. She is much better at doing my hair than any barber I came across in the few years I’ve lived in the area. Mona listened to me and performed exactly what I asked her to do for my hair (and I’m very picky!) and constantly worked with me to get my hair to the exact length and style I wanted. She does my wife’s hair too, and we are both very happy to have found her. She’s a master of her craft.“
