I didn't get to see Dr. Porter. They had moved locations and I was not informed. The old address is on their website and everywhere online. When I was headed to my first appointment I received a reminder asking me to check in, no word on the address but I suspected something was wrong when I read see you in Falls Church, Again no address. I called and a rude person told me they were at lunch and to call back at 1pm; since my appt was at 1pm I pleaded with her and asked just for the address. She said she couldn't help me and to go to wherever I thought at 1pm. Wondered in VA hospital for about 25 minutes, going from one place to the next, calling them at the same time. I could only leave messages between 1 and 2pm; after 2pm, they would just put me on hold. I am done.

Unfortunately, I did not have the opportunity to meet the Dr. Porter described below. I think I would've appreciated that doctor. The Dr. Porter I encountered was abrupt and rude. I actually felt quite bullied by her. At some points, she demonstrated helpful knowledge and information, but her prior behavior and attitude overshadowed this. Maybe she was having a bad day, but as a patient, that's not my problem.

I absolutely LOVE Dr. Porter. I have been going to her for years. She was referred to me by my primary care physician. Well, more like the nurses at my PCF's office. She insisted that Dr. Porter was one of the great ones and I am so glad I listened! Dr. Porter has been there through all of my OBGYN struggles and finally, she was there to deliver my baby. She is incredibly caring and I trust her completely. She made my biggest worries feel like great opportunities and she is so laid back. She's funny and honest. When I had to induce my baby because he was overdue, she was there to deliver him. I had to have a C-Section because he was in the breech position, but Dr. Porter assured me everything will be ok. She was wonderful. Her comments during the operation made me laugh and gave me a great "birthing story". Now that I am pregnant again, I was initially worried but she eased all of my worries and turned them into excitement. She has always been able to calm me down. I honestly cannot express enough how great she is. She is so real and down to earth and that's almost impossible to find in a doctor nowadays. I send all of my friends and family members to her (if insurance will allow). She's that amazing.
