With a focus on delivering knowledgeable, cost-effective, and long-term solutions, Rush Electric has built a reputation for reliability in Alexandria, Kingstowne, Springfield, and across Northern Virginia. Customer reviews highlight the expertise and professionalism of their service technicians. One reviewer praised a technician named Milton for quickly diagnosing electrical issues and identifying safety concerns, explaining everything in simple terms. This reviewer expressed confidence in Milton's integrity, stating that he did not attempt to upsell unnecessary services, making Rush Electric their preferred electrical company as new homeowners. However, not all experiences have been positive. Another long-time customer shared frustrations with the administrative side of the business, mentioning issues with charges for repairs that should have been covered under warranty. While they acknowledged the skills of the technicians, they expressed concerns about the management's handling of service agreements and billing practices, leading to distrust. Despite mixed experiences, many customers have remained loyal to Rush Electric due to their commitment to resolving issues when things do not go as planned. A reviewer highlighted that the company consistently makes good on problems, with a plumbing manager named Jason successfully addressing a difficult plumbing issue. Overall, Rush Electric HVAC Plumbing is recognized for its expertise and commitment to customer satisfaction, although some customers urge improvements in communication and billing practices.
Superb! Milton came to my house and diagnosed the electrical issues quickly. He also discovered some serious safety issues that needed to be addressed. He was able to show me each problem and explain to me in laymen terms so that I could understand. He quickly built trust with me. At no point did he try to upsell me with anything. I highly recommend Milton and the Rush company. As a new home owner, we have found our “Go To” electrician and electrical company.
I'm actually biased in favor of "Rush Companies". I knew Carol (RIP), Alan, and John Rush personally, having worked for them in the 80's, and I think they treated me fairly. Today, I have two furnaces, both installed by Rush, and I have annual maintenance contracts on both. After that, I'm giving them a 3 of 5 because I don't trust them to act in my best interests, or treat me fairly. 3 is only because I have confidence in techs like JD. The missing 2 is because I feel abused, and am worried about the "back office". Bill, the HVAC manager, charged me once for a covered repair of my humidifier. I was refunded only because I'd kept a copy of Rush's promises for eight years. I was charged again for a capacitor replacement, I think, then the charge was canceled when I questioned its warranty status. More recently, Bill charged me $150(ish) for a visit on a system that Rush installed, which was still under warranty. When I called, the system was non-functional. When the tech arrived, it powered-up, so I was billed for the visit. That left me afraid to call them when my system was dead. I reset it myself a couple of times, and thankfully, I had some ability to troubleshoot. On my second call, I was somewhat confident, but I got lucky. Instead of being charged another $150, the bad motor was diagnosed by JD, replaced, and everything has been great since. If JD had arrived a bit later, I'm sure the motor would've cooled down, and shown no sign of trouble (again). The system has worked dependably since then, but Bill refuses to refund my $150, complaining that he can't charge Carrier for the 20 minute visit. My argument that his profit wasn't my concern fell on deaf ears. The whole correspondence made me angry. I threatened to cancel my annual maintenance, but Bill suggested that I "read the contract" - if I cancel the annual maintenance, both of my Rush-bought systems will lose their warranties. After a decades-long relationship with Rush, I'm still amazed that my good will was worth so little.
I have used Rush for almost 20 years for complicated plumbing and basic electrical ( so far). The key to that longevity is that when things don't go perfectly, they make good... they fix it. 95% of the time things go perfectly. Jason ( PLUMBING manager ) was here today, fixing a difficult issue as he said he would. It's fixed. I will continue to use Rush.Services: Toilet repair
