Healing Touch Massage Therapy

Part of me doesn't want to post this review for fear Valerie will become so popular that I will not get regular appointments with her! While I only just had my first-ever massage with Valerie at Healing Touch (in Northwest DC), it is definitely not my last. I've had a lot - and I mean a lot - of massages in my life and literally in different cities, states and even countries. And I've had a lot of back pain to boot (so bad it required surgery at one point). I walked out of Valerie's massage studio feeling like a very relaxed, flexible, happy rag doll. She is amazing. She has some different options for massages and I needed some deep tissue work. Never have I had just one massage from someone and felt this much better! Imagine what she can accomplish in regular sessions!

I highly recommend Margaret. You can tell the difference when a massage therapist understands the science behind the massage, and I felt that Margaret definitely fell into this category. She started on a scalp massage that was unlike any other I had before. I often am disappointed that therapists go to soft, but Margaret really listened to me and applied just the right amount of pressure. Throughout the massage, her knowledge of the muscle groups and their interconnectedness was evident. I was also impressed how she really wanted my input on the experience and how she gave me a couple options before we proceeded with the massage. It wasn't just a "one size fits all" approach. I will definitely be going to her again.
