“I was referred here after my dog developed hypercalcemia and all the tests my regular vet had done were inconclusive. We travelled from Logan to meet with Dr. Tucker. She recommended a CT scan which showed a mass in Mara’s chest. She then referred me to AVC and did further testing to determine what type of cancer it was and how it could be treated. Even while I was working with AVC for their oncology services, Dr. Tucker was extremely involved in the process. She sent regular updates to all the different veterinary clinics involved with Mara’s care, called me to check in on what was happening, and even called CSU and AVC to verify information and secure appointment slots. Dr. Tucker was mindful of our needs because we were traveling to SLC multiple times a week and she scheduled with us so we could do several appointments on one day. The whole staff at VetMed was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. I always felt that they were aware of our case and they gave personal attention to my girl. Dr. Tucker was the one who suggested going to Sage Imaging for a more in depth CT scan that proved surgery was possible and we would not have to travel out of state for intervention. We were able to get the surgery done and are looking forward to more time with our baby girl. Every vet involved in this process was amazing, but Dr. Tucker was truly the driving force behind getting Mara the care she needed and we owe everything to her.“

He told us he couldn't help her but gave us other options and spent a lot of time on the phone educating me on her condition and what to do.
