“I've gotta tell you-boarding school is one of the best decisions we've ever made. We loved Otto pre-Dream dog but man! our relationships with him have vastly improved. As his relationship with our older dog Kiko has as well. It's so nice to be able to snuggle and get close to him without all the squirmy-ness of an energetic puppy. He's so good at sitting and staying, putting himself in time out. Being bored. Listening. He's even more adorable than ever and we didn't think that was possible!!

We took him to our property in Idaho over the weekend. He was such a good boy!! He even jumped into the lake, and watching his sister started to swim. We didn't freak out bc we had him on the long blue leash.

It seems like we are set up for success with the tools and processes that Otto has in place.

They don’t hide their grooming area, or where the dogs are kept. “Really great. Alex is super approachable and knowledgeable, and knows how to train us the owners, not just our pup. Our highly spun collie mix is now much more calm and engaged with us. In 4 semi-private lessons we learned many basic but essential commands. The most important thing is we learned how their brain works, and the building blocks or sequences of training which unlocked the tools to teach our dog new stuff beyond the trainings sessions. Steven is super nice, helpful, and knowledgeable as well. They really care about you and your dog and couldn’t recommend enough.“

“This is our second round of training with Johanna! Our Bullmastiff Abbi is different from our previous dogs, and we knew Johanna would be able to help us. We reached out and were in excellent hands! Johanna was able to redirect our training efforts, majority of sessions were held virtually and supported with videos of us training Abbi. We will keep using Johanna no matter where life takes us. “The best dog care service around! We have been bringing our German shepherd here for daycare and boarding regularly since he was a little pup and the staff is so amazing, caring, and understanding. They take such great care of him and always greet us and Bogey with smiles! I feel so comfortable leaving my dog with them because they care about our pup just as much as we do. They have exemplary customer service, offer pet cams, and they have zero hassle pick up and drop off! I love this gem and their staff!!“

“I love Camp Bow Wow in Sandy! The staff are all amazing and do such a great job taking care of the dogs. My dog (Raiden) is a VERY energetic pup who needs at least 3-4 hours of exercise per day, and on the days when I can't do that at home, Camp Bow Wow swoops in and saves the day! Raiden absolutely loves Camp Bow Wow and practically dislocates my arm trying to get inside. Now that you know how my dog lives for this place, let's break down the particulars.

Pros:
- Staff are wonderful and clearly love dogs.
- Dogs are allowed to play in size appropriate pens so there are no small pups getting caught up in big dog drama.
- Dogs are rotated out to the cabins on busy days so the rooms don't get too full.
- Staff do an excellent job of answering calls as soon as possible, even on busy days.
- Smaller play areas allow staff to keep a pretty good eye on dogs.
- Web cams! I absolutely watch Raiden all day long when he is at Camp Bow Wow.
- Packages that offer discounted day care for either half or full days.

Cons:
- No outdoor space - not a deal breaker, but it would be really nice for my pup to have the option to enjoy the sunshine.
- Dogs may pick up some bad manners so make sure your pup is well trained and you reinforce the good behavior when you get home.
- Sometimes the staff are super busy so they may not see misbehavior right away (nothing dangerous, mostly just humping or pestering the calm dogs).
- Your pup will probably come home stinky, I keep wipes in the car and Raiden gets a wipe down every time.

All things considered, Camp Bow Wow in Sandy is a great place to take your pup if they have some serious energy to burn or need some play time.“

“We had an excellent experience with this business. We were visiting from out of state for a funeral, so we needed daycare. Even though the service we needed wasn't technically available, the owner seemed concerned for the care of our dog and made an exception. She took on the responsibility herself to care for our baby, who isn't used to daycare or kennels. She really helped our stress level during a challenging time.
All the staff seemed very nice and we picked up our happy healthy dog when we were done.

“Good service so far. I visited them for dental service and a fecal test for my dog. I felt the dental service was cheaper compared to other vets and they did a great job.
They also have free dental brushing per week, once we do deep cleaning. All staffs are very friendly and my dog loves to visit this place.“

“KIND OF A LONG REVIEW.. But a good one...I can't believe I haven't written a review before now.... I have been bringing my dogl Lilly Rose to day care for about 2 1/2 years. Almost daily. She goes crazy once we get off the freeway to wind down the frontage road. Once we're inside, she immediately greets everyone then runs to the door to go play in the back... She loves it!She's been groomed here twice and each time its wonderful. She's short haired so there is no cutting or shaving but she looks so pretty and white and always smells so good.There was a time (before Trina came to Coddled Critters) that I had some issues with management. Nothing terrible and its water under the bridge. Didn't change my mind about the care they give my Lilly girl.Trina and the staff now are on top of their game. You can tell how much they love the animals. They take such good care of my dog. The place is cleaner, smells better, seems more organized and the staff is so friendly.If you're contemplating putting your doggy in day care, or boarding, I highly suggest Coddled Critters.
