Handyman near South Salt Lake

“Last week I put out a request for a handyman to remove my old dishwasher that was trapped by the tile flooring and countertop and install the new one. I'm planning to completely remodel the whole kitchen soon but the old dishwasher died and I'm tired of handwashing everything. Thumbtack yielded zero responses. Through Yelp, Rodrigo responded within in 10 minutes of my post. One other handyman responded but it was days later. Rodrigo was professional from the very first text and also quoted a fair price for the job. We scheduled a time but had to reschedule to later in the day due to him having to help on another job. Rodrigo arrived and got right to work. He asked if I preferred that he wear a mask prior to entering my home, which I didn't require but appreciated that he asked. The old dishwasher removal was more of a challenge and took alot longer than anticipated but he got it out! The high tile floor made it a challenge to install the new one, but after almost 4 hours hours, Rodrigo was able to install it without having to cut flooring or countertops! We had a nice chat about his family, how he got into the business, etc. I'll be calling for Rodrigo's handyman services as soon as I'm ready to do the full kitchen overhaul and remodel.“

“There are several things i like about Jim. I like paying him by the hour. Even though he's honest, there are many who are not. So, you pay him after he does the work each day he is there. He can't make off with several thousand dollars of unfinished work because he doesn't require pay up front. It's great for my situation. He truly saved us a lot of money by doing it this way. He is not slow, either, at what i saw him do: build a wall, sheetrock, mud, texture, do electrical, hang a door........he's got tools and techniques! I was so overwhelmed by the electrical and for Jim, no big deal. It seemed like a mess and he sorted right through our requests.Another thing i like about Jim is he's happy to have me helping, working alongside him. That way, the project can go even faster- hence, saving money, i can learn more tricks of the trade, i'm intricately involved and motivated cause i have great help, and i'm more open to suggestions as i see the work and issues unfold. It's a win, win.Another thing i like about Jim is he's a hard worker. He wants to work. Period. He does not shy away from work. Has a go-gettum attitude and dives in.He is flexible with your time and will work with your schedule. He keeps in communication and doesn't leave you hanging. “I have used Rafael Viana multiple times at both my own and at a rental property. He and his staff did a variety of things such as hang heavy duty garage racks, fix some electrical switches, earthquake proof a water heater, etc. etc.He was absolutely fantastic, did high quality work, and was easy to work with. “I was referred to this company for service on my air conditioner and had read the reviews and wasn’t feeling very confident with them. When the technician arrived I told him I wasn’t pleased with all the negative reviews. He introduced himself (Tony) and explained he was now the new owner and he had laid off all of the technicians that had worked with this company. He was doing all of the repairs himself until he could find well qualified personnel. He was right on time 11am on Monday. Determined what the problem was and submitted his recommendation to Choice before he left my home. He called me Wednesday morning and said he had not received approval from Choice. I sent Choice a message and explained that we were awaiting their go ahead. I had barely sent the message and Tony called and said he had received approval and asked if I was going to be home and he was on his way. He fixed the air conditioner and checked the vents inside. Claim was submitted; analyzed and repaired within five days. Tony is very pleasant and professional. I hope he and his company succeeds! Customer satisfaction all the way.“
