Backstory: I had my dog groomed 2 weeks ago at my usual groomers. They left his chin a little longer than usual cause I’m trying to get his goatee to grow. I’ve been just trimming his tail cause I love how LONG it is. It usually takes about 2 hours to fully groom him. They did a perfect job. A few days ago I took him into Lucky Paws Pet Spa since it’s a bit closer to my home for a wash. I drop him off at 11am and ask for a wash and blowout. I call back at 1 asking what’s his estimated finish time, they tell me, “Around 3. We typically always take the dogs for about 4 hours.” Ok….? Strange but whatever. I had my friend pick him up from the pet salon at 3 and he ends up telling me they told him, “we fixed the haircut on the back of Harley’s head cause it was a little messed up” I’m thinking… ok…? Odd. I do hair and even I was impressed with his last cut but whatever. He comes home and his tail is half the length of before. The top of his head is not only bumpy now as far as the cut, it’s like whoever did it dipped in through the center of his skull and he has a subtle reverse Mohawk. He also has a short section under his chin that is literally 1/2” shorter than the sides of the the bottom of his chin. No more goatee… I called the salon and told the lady who answered the phone and she brushed me off asking if I wanted to talk to the person who “takes the complaints” I told her no, I just wanted them to know that a wash means a wash. I did end up calling back and asking to talk to the other lady. They transferred the phone, knowing who I was and had my number on file, left me on hold then disconnected me. No call back, nothing. Don’t go here!! I asked for a wash. Not a cut. They should have called before they took any hair off of my dog. It’s ridiculous, I’m so taken aback… 🤯😫😖
Took our Callie in today to be groomed at Lucky Paws. They did a wonderful job with her. I've got arthritis in my hands and have trouble keeping her brushed like I should but they tidied her up and made her smell wonderful!
