About Camp Bow Wow
Camp Bow Wow is a popular pet care franchise with over 200 locations in North America. They offer a range of services including dog boarding, day care, grooming, training, and enrichment activities. The business focuses on providing a fun and safe environment for dogs to play and socialize in an open-play setting. Camp Bow Wow is known for its clean facilities and dedicated staff who prioritize the well-being of each dog. Many dog owners appreciate the all-inclusive pricing and the peace of mind that comes with being able to monitor their dogs through live cameras. The staff are friendly and do a great job caring for the dogs, including those with separation anxiety. Dogs are allowed to play in size-appropriate pens, and on busy days, they are rotated into cabins so the rooms don’t get too full. The web cameras allow owners to watch their dogs all day long, which many find very reassuring. Packages that offer discounted day care for half or full days are also available. While there is no outdoor space, many owners feel the indoor environment is just right for energetic dogs needing playtime or exercise. The staff are attentive and responsive, even on busy days, and the facility's clean and safe environment helps dogs feel comfortable. Dogs may pick up some bad manners if not properly trained, and occasional misbehavior like humping or pestering may happen when staff are busy. Dogs often come home a bit stinky, so owners sometimes wipe them down after visits. Overall, Camp Bow Wow in Sandy is a great place for dogs who need to burn energy or enjoy social time, with staff who care deeply about each pet's experience.
I'm one of those weirdos who treats my dogs like family-they sleep on the bed, climb all over everything in the house and eat very well. So when I travel or work long days and need someone to look after the pups, I'm very particular about where they go. A friend referred me to Camp Bow Wow and I've used them several times. So far, my dog hasn't said anything good or bad about her experience, but she seems happy enough to go inside with a staff member. While I appreciate the service they provide, it is a bit pricey, so I have to be selective about when I bring my dog here. I'd love to be able to bring her more often, but I have to ration our visits until I hit the jackpot.
I love Camp Bow Wow in Sandy! The staff are all amazing and do such a great job taking care of the dogs. My dog (Raiden) is a VERY energetic pup who needs at least 3-4 hours of exercise per day, and on the days when I can't do that at home, Camp Bow Wow swoops in and saves the day! Raiden absolutely loves Camp Bow Wow and practically dislocates my arm trying to get inside. Now that you know how my dog lives for this place, let's break down the particulars.
Pros:
- Staff are wonderful and clearly love dogs.
- Dogs are allowed to play in size appropriate pens so there are no small pups getting caught up in big dog drama.
- Dogs are rotated out to the...read full review
It was wonderful to see how well my dog adjusted to the day camp and how well she did because she has separation anxiety, but she did wonderfully, and the staff is amazing. They are so friendly and they are so good with every single dog you’re able to watch it on video camera from the lobby and it’s just a wonderful thing for animals. I truly believe, that dogs should have some type of doggy daycare just to enrich them if nothing else
