Mount Olivet Cemetery

My new-born baby just passed away. I was looking for a cemetery near me, and this one caught my attention. I liked that it has deer and ducks, and you can see a lot of squirrels running around. I like that there are plenty of trees around, and it just feels so peaceful. Pam and the staff were so helpful.

My parents and an additional family member are buried here. I was at Mt Olivet on Memorial Day. It made me feel very sad. I didn't linger. Many many dead trees, no gardens, dry fountain and mostly dry weeds. Very disappointing! Very sad! Wonder what has happened to lead to the decline of this historic cemetary. Didnt use to be like this.​

My family was so impressed when we chose this locations for my grandparents and eventually my parents. It was very well kept and peaceful.However, this memorial day, we were up there and it looked awful! No more grass framed around each plot, lots of weeds. It just made me sad!
