I had to start using BDO to do my taxes due to receiving family money. We been there for 7 years. Since being there, my taxes have been wrong every year. I've never had issue in the past! I had to pay more to have them done by BDO. They still could never seem to get them right! I've had to pay the IRS so much money do to their mistakes! I thought 1 person was doing them! Nope he handed them off to other people that had no clue what was going on! And now has since left the company! My taxes are a mess! I'm having to pay someone else to fix their mistakes! Spencer Strickland, CPA will not back up his work. I received a letter from the state requiring documents to support a tax credit of $1500. He told me it was not HIS mistake, (not sure who would be responsible since he prepared the return) and it would cost me more than the $1500. to have him respond AND TO DO IT MYSELF. I paid him a lot to prepare the return!! Now he wants more to fix his mistakes?? HR Block has better policies in place. I have a new CPA now. If you use BDO/ Spencer Strickland do not expect professionals with work ethics. The lack of care for a client was disappointing. Actually with a CPA down right scary!!
