Taylor Carpets and Flooring Flooring

“We have worked with Matt at Taylor Carpets several times over the years for our flooring needs. This time we updated the majority of our home with WPC flooring and the bedrooms with carpet. Their prices were fair, the quality of the products were excellent and their installers were amazing. Miguel in particular did such a great job on the wood floor! I was very hesitant but I love the completed job.“

“Big kitchen remodel, my husband wanted the hardwood floors refinished--so glad we did!! About the first thing people notice in the entry is the gorgeous flooring and all they can say is "Wow!" Todd did a great job and worked with me with scheduling. Keep the wood!“

Paint EZ of Utah County Flooring

“EDIT: First round of painting was a really bad experience. After I left a one-star review here, they sent their head painter out to evaluate, owned up to the crappy work, and redid everything.

Second round of painting was a great experience. The cabinets look great and I'm very happy with the results. So, 1 star for the first round and 5 stars for the second round averages out to 3 stars...and I gave them an extra star for owning and fixing the problem. For more details, read the full story below.

The full story (part 2): After my initial one-star review, Paint EZ sent their head painter (Elvin) out to follow up. Apparently, he normally checks every project himself, but he was out of town during our job. He looked everything over and said that he would not have approved the job and that it needed to be completely redone.

I have to give them credit. They sent in a different crew the next week, who spent two more days on everything than the first crew did, and the end result was right in line with what they pitched during the sales visit. The cabinets look and feel great now.

If they'd done it right the first time, this would have been an easy 5-star review. The quality this time around is really quite excellent. However, the fact that we had to fight to get them to do it right and deal with the headache and cost of redoing the project keeps me from giving them a full 5 stars.

However, once their head painter got out there, he owned the problem and solved it right away, which goes a long way in my book.

The full story (part 1): We hired Paint EZ to paint our knotty alder cabinets. During the bid, Justin explained that to make the cabinets look good, they would need to do several rounds of filling, sanding, and painting to ensure that the cracks and holes in the knotty alder disappeared. He told us that the job would take 5 days to do properly, which would cost us extra, but that they had a ton of experience with knotty alder and would make sure the final product looked great.

Despite this plan, the crew clearly did not know what they were doing. They didn't fill in any of the holes and cracks and simply repainted the cabinets. After 2 days, they tried to leave without any explanation and we had to fight to get them to stay and actually do the job properly. Even then, it was clear that this was not something they regularly did and they continued to rush and put pressure on us to sign off on the project so they could leave.

At the end of the third day, they told us it was as good as it was going to get and we reluctantly agreed. I wish we hadn't. As we started to try and move stuff back into our kitchen, we discovered that they had gotten paint EVERYWHERE. Inside the cabinets, on our brand new countertops, on the carpets, all over our dishes. We easily spent 15+ hours cleaning up after them.“
