About Student Health Center (SHC)
The Student Health Center (SHC) is a comprehensive medical facility that has been serving the campus community since 1998. The modern health center offers a wide range of services, including isolation rooms, treatment rooms, X-ray laboratories, examination and emergency rooms, a laboratory and analysis room, a physical therapy center, and offices for medical staff. Patients have consistently reported positive experiences with the kind and knowledgeable staff, who provide attentive and efficient care. The on-site pharmacy, Oak Hills Pharmacy, also contributes to a convenient and time-saving healthcare experience. The staff at the SHC are praised for their helpfulness and sincerity. Patients have found the staff to be very good at addressing general questions and providing informed referrals. Additionally, Dr. Williams More is described as friendly, kind, and humble, known for his calm and patient approach with patients. The SHC is highly recommended by those who have experienced its services, with one patient describing it as a "warm hug" compared to the frustration they faced with another healthcare provider.
They helped me a lot and made me feel very comfortable with what was happening. Especially with the situation they made me feel very calm and I trusted them to do everything they needed to!
Service was fast enough. Amy Dalton, NP, listened to my concerns and gave me good routes to take. There was some confusion on providing information or lack of clarity in preregistration forms, but it got resolved.
OH MY GOODNESS! I never really expected anything great from a university health center but my goodness, this was the best health experience I have ever had. I have had several appointments for some health problems I've been experiencing and every single appointment as been good. Also, Janae is AMAZING! Here's why: Intermountain Healthcare was pushing me to different departments on the phone for a long time and would not schedule an appointment for me to receive a thyroid biopsy that my doctor at the BYU health center requested for them to set up with me. Janae, then called them for me after I called the student health center again telling them IHC wouldn't schedule me. She then spent over an hour on the phone, navigated through several departments, and made sure I got what I needed. When I felt on the verge of tears with Intermountain Health Care, the BYU student center honestly felt like a warm hug. LOVE THIS PLACE and would HIGHLY recommend.
