Furnace making a LOUD humming noise on Monday. House is 91 degrees inside. Run to Allred's on Tuesday and buy a capacitor for five bucks. Employee at Allred's says it sounds like the motor, but the capacitor is a good place to start. Install capacitor. Furnace continues to make a LOUD humming noise. Back to Allred's who orders the motor and has it the next morning for $165. REALLY hot in the house. Install motor Wednesday after work and the furnace sounds happy again. House was 72 degrees this morning. Saved at least a couple hundred dollars on the repair. Thanks for the suggestions and for getting the motor overnight. Your service is why I keep coming back!
