I love that the location is in a small house turned salon - gives a nice home-y feel. I only met two of the ladies there but they were both super nice, chill, and welcoming. I went looking to do something with my hair that I had never done before and wanted to try for my birthday. Renea replied to me in a timely manner and gave my number to one of her stylists, Ashley. Ashley texted me first thing in the morning. She just so happened to have an opening - which was amazing given it's spring break. I used to be married to a stylist, so my expectations of what service should be like at a salon or barber shop are a bit above average and this place does not disappoint. Most of my family uses Hello Darlin, or specifically our stylist Pam Gomez, and we have always been pleased. It doesn't matter if it is my short, feathery greying hair, or my son's thick, long flowing locks, neither one of us has failed to receive compliments when Pam is through working her craft. As soon as I walked in to work after my last appointment, I was met with a chorus of compliments. While Pam is amazing and I would highly recommend you ask for her, it was not just her alone that impressed me with the salon. Built in a former home, the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly and the salon is clean and seems well organized. When observing other stylist that work there, I noticed that their interaction with customers was very similar to my experience with Pam. They are all very friendly, engaging and capable from what I have seen. I have heard many customers explain what they want in terms that I could not decipher, just to see them beaming with pleasure at the results the stylist produced. Dez is absolutely amazing! I have alot of issues with people not knowing how to trim and layer my long think hair. She definitely made it look beautiful and didnt mess it up! 100 starts I give her! Also the other ladies in the shop were super sweet as well!
