Hollan Humble, Nurse Practitioner, is amazing! She is so knowledgeable and interacts great with patients. She goes above & beyond to diagnose the health issue & prescribe what is needed. She deserves a 5 Star rating.
I work as a customer service trainer and so wanted to leave my honest feedback here. As I got on to write this review, I see some others. I guess you have to take reviews with a grain of salt. Either other folks had a very different experience than our, or Hillcrest has made massive strides recently. My wife and I recently delivered a baby here at this hospital. Over the course of her pregnancy, we had to go to the ER once and, at least in our experience, it was a smooth, efficient, and respectful experience. I saw a clean facility and the nurses and doctor communicated well with us and with each other and we left feeling well-cared for and optimistic for the rest of her pregnancy. It didn't seem slow at all to me. When baby-delivery time came, we got checked in and triaged and put in a delivery room in a very reasonable time-frame. This wasn't our first rodeo having a baby and I felt like the care was competent, confident, thoughtful, and the nurses both day and night ensured that they listened, helped my wife rest as much as possible, and took great care of our baby. I always live in fear of getting the bill after having a baby because there's usually so much nickel-and-diming, but it was actually very pleasant - we were contacted ahead of time by a financial counselor and they told us how much everything would be and that was indeed exactly how much it ended up being. So overall, we'll be back. I liked my experience at Hillcrest - I didn't meet a grumpy staff member and literally everyone I spoke to was kind and friendly, which meant a lot at during a stressful time. A couple folks that really stood out to us were Dawn who came and did the PKU with our baby, Jamie, Katie, Candice, in the L&D and Mother/Baby area, and then Debra who brought us our food - she has to be one of the kindest ladies I've ever met. IF we have another baby (a very big IF) we'll definitely be back. I'd trust the ER and any other area of the hospital as well based on my experience.
Care is decent but the bulls keep stacking up after one visit!!! Went in for an ultrasound on the abdomen which cost $1,200 out of pocket after insurance paid about half of it. On top of that which I was never notified of, I had to pay an additional bill for an outsourced radiologist to review the results. You'd think the cost of the procedure would include the dr to give you your results..that's false. Overpriced, greedy, profit-driven hospital! When a hospital cares more about the money than patient care, then we have a major problem in our healthcare system!!!
