Karl Wendt spent over an hour on the phone with me helping me to understand the generator world, what I needed , how it's determined what size, amps, options to reduce amps needed which saved on cost. I had no idea and like most in Texas, we want to be more prepared for a power outtage like the week of 2-14-2021. he was very patient, professional and clearly knows his line of work. I never felt pressure to make an immediate decision on what best suited our needs. I like that his company provides all necessary for an install, generator, plumbing, electrical, something that I'd fine impossible to coordinate. the generator prices are set, what affects the overall cost is what a household wants to have power to. his estimates are detailed leaving no guessing to "hidden" additional cost. it's not a simple purchase, much involved and once we determine what best suits our needs, we'll definitely work with Wendt Electrical! thank you karl!
I called and asked Wendt to replace pvc piping they installed with metallic pipes. They agreed and it took them about 2 weeks to get me on their schedule, but they came and changed it with no complaints. They tried to convince me that PVC was better in a salty environment, but I dont want plastic piping on my house, so I asked them to change it anyway. I’m glad I called to let them know I preferred metal over PVC and I’m pleased they fixed it after just a phone call.
Our 24kw generator kept our family and my wife’s parents warm through the freezing weather. We overloaded the generator one time, called for assistance and the guy who answered the phone walked me through resetting my generator in about 10 minutes. He explained that my generator would produce 100 amps and that each of my heaters were trying to draw 60 amps. He also explained that my AC units typically draw 30 amps and that heat loads are double that of AC loads. Running my AC units was very important to me after going 6 days without power after Harvey. Ive never thought of running the heater like this in Texas. I got the feeling the company was desperately trying to answer hundreds of calls from people who needed electrical, generator, and plumbing help. I’m glad I made it through. Congratulations Wendt, you did right by me. I’m sending my in-laws over.
