Tyler - TX: Optometrists - Bennett & Associates

I believe this office is dishonest and has a pretty good scam going on. I made an appointment last week. I drove an hour to get to their office this morning. My insurance copay is $10. I have two daughters who have recently used this insurance and their copay was just $10. I filled out paperwork and when I returned it to the window I was told my copay was $10 plus I needed to pay an additional $90 that I could pay out of my own pocket or I could use my insurance that would normally go towards glasses/contacts for my appointment. Why did they not tell me this upfront when I made this appointment?

Called and was told eye exam was 54.00 plus any extras, ended up costing me 141.00 because they dilated my eyes, really 2 drops in each eye, they knew I AM A DIBETIC and dilating would have to be done, so WHY didn't they just tell me the amount to start with. LAST VISIT THERE

While traveling tore a contact called and asked if they could help me they said come in. Wanted me to buy a box of contacts and I said no my dr from h town had faxed the RX and they had a sample which is not to be sold but given to client. I paid $12.50 for the contact but until I filled out patient forms could not get the contact. Strange at best but grateful I can drive now.
