Everything was explained so that the experience had no surprises. No apprehension the day of surgery. Felt very cared for. Like a VIP! Very important patient!! Lovely facility with very caring staff. Dr Nickel is professional but caring and supportive. Looking forward to repairing the second eye. I’ll be recommending this Dr and facility to anyone needing optical services.

I just saw Dr. Nickel again, and I reaffirm everything I wrote before. He is an outstanding medical professional who demonstrates genuine concern for his patients.My “choice” of Dr. Nickel to perform my cataract surgery was based on necessity and emergency, but I could not have chosen better. His expert care contributed significantly to the preservation (even improvement) of my vision. Additionally, he demonstrated genuine care and concern for me as a patient. I traveled 75 miles to be treated by him, and have continued to make that journey; Dr. Nickel’s excellent care is worth the extra effort on my part.

I had a very positive experience at Heaton. It was my first time seeing a doctor in that office. Dr. Nickel was friendly, thorough with his explanations, and I felt he gave honest opinions. The office staff was very friendly and made me feel comfortable. Big plus: they were on time! I never had to wait long. They had told me to expect to be there 2 hours. My appointment was at 8:35 and I walked out at 10:35! I will definitely recommend Heaton and Dr. Nickel to friends and family.
