“Our existing AC system was very old and no longer worked efficiently - it couldn't keep up with Houston heat (house was built in the 1960s, and the system was ~20 years old). We got quotes from three reputable AC companies, but ATS Mechanical's approach differed from the others. In addition to taking an unhurried assessment of our current system and the layout of the house and attic, Barry (owner) sat down with us for nearly 45 minutes to ask questions about our needs, goals, and budget. His recommended solution was an entire replacement of the attic unit, the outside compressor, all-new ductwork, an additional return in our master bedroom, a new vent fan/heater in the guest bathroom, and an up-to-date smart thermostat. Also at Barry's recommendation we got new insulation blown into the attic.
