Safety America Karate is a state-of-the-art martial arts training facility located in Sugar Land, Texas and chartered under the Zen-Do-Kai worldwide martial arts organization. Their focus has been to provide full martial arts training, with emphasis on self-defence in a safe, family-friendly environment. The classes at Safety America Karate are fun and well-designed, with frequent belt tests. The teachers are very kind and caring, and they instill the values of humility, wisdom, and honour in their students. The dojo has accommodated students who wish to pursue higher education, allowing them to substitute their PE credits with karate classes. Many students have had positive experiences at Safety America Karate. They have dedicated years of training to earn their black belt, and some have even had the opportunity to work and teach at the sister school in Sienna. The students feel safe, respected, and included, and they consider the dojo a second home due to the close bonds they have formed with their peers. Karate has had a significant influence on the students' personal and professional development, helping them gain self-discipline, self-confidence, and the mindset to achieve their goals. The school's focus on personal growth, along with its state-of-the-art facilities and caring instructors, make Safety America Karate a highly recommended martial arts training facility.
I have three kids who are all students at Safety America Karate. They love their dojo. Classes are fun and well designed. They have belt tests frequently. The teachers are very kind and caring.
I started attending Safety America Karate when I was 11 years old. I dedicated 7 years of training for my black belt. My senior year of high school, I was able to substitute my PE credits required to graduate by attending classes at SAK several times a week, this allowed me to free up space in my school schedule for other elective classes that I thought I wouldn’t be able to take. On the walls of our dojo, you walk in and see the words Humility, Wisdom, and Honor. These are the values and building blocks that Safety America instills in their students that transfer over into all aspects of life. While I was pursuing my higher education, I even had the opportunity to work and teach karate at our sister school is Sienna. Safety America was very accommodating and encouraged my pursuits beyond the walls of the dojo. I wouldn’t have been able to graduate university without their support. I am also very proud to say that I was able to fund my degree without taking out any student loans. I am so grateful to have grown up attending classes here, and to then go on working here for 10 years. I have always felt safe, respected, and included. I consider Safety America a second home to me, because of the close bonds I nurtured with my fellow peers who have turned into lifelong friends and an irreplaceable support system. Karate has influenced my development tremendously beyond the benefits of regular exercise, Safety America has shaped my character both personally and professionally. I have gained self-discipline, self-confidence, and the mindset to not just strive towards my goals but the ability to execute them.
I highly recommend Safety America I’ve been a student and instructor throughout a span of a 12 year period the students are always there #1 priority if you are looking for a school with a good opportunity for growth in martial arts skill and personal growth I highly suggest looking into Safety America or even taking a trial class.
