Emma is hands down one of the best natural hair stylists in the city. She is personable, knowledgeable, kind, caring, and attentive. She has walked with me through several transitions in my natural hair journey. I started with the sweet chop, got some highlights on my next visit, and she's shaped my fro as it's grown out. She helps you to celebrate the hair that you have rather than desiring something that you've seen on Instagram. Her space feels like a communal celebration rather than simply a salon. I started my natural journey during the fall of 2022 and was lost on what to do. February 2023 I made a consultation appointment with Emma and wrote down every question that I could think of. She was very patient with me and utilized the time provided to answer every question thoroughly and even told me if I thought of anything else after I left I could email her.
