“Cypresswood Family Dental is the BEST! I appriciate them so much because when they speak with you they also hear you. I had a cracked tooth that needed to be pulled and I had already called around to different dentists to ask if they would pull the same day as the xrays were taken and all the answers were the same, an extraction will take 2 to 3 appointments or more and once the extraction is scheduled you will need to have someone drive you because of the anesthetic. When I called Cypresswood Family Dental and asked the same questions their answer was if there is no infection we should be able to pull the same day. On my first visit I went in to have the tooth pulled, they did the xrays and the extraction the same day and I was able to return to work the same day. Also, their thoroughness when explaining charges and insurance matters is wonderful no sales tactics. Again the best part of all is that they listen to you. They are the BEST!“

“They had a free event I drove from southwest Houston for had so much fun . Karaoke chick Fila gift cards and a raffle to win Starbucks as well all while we wait to get either a cleaning or extraction. There was plenty of snacks water coffee and coco fruit and chips. There was a heater outside to help with the cold weather and appointments was mad so you can possibly leave and come back but I didn't want to risk them moving faster then appointment time.“

“Beware the up-sell and verify every service they initiate!My dentist of 20 years recently retired and I was forced to find another dentist. I chose to look for local dentists within the insurance network. Knowing that I was due for a cleaning I thought it might be a good opportunity to test the waters. My wife and son (on a different insurance plan) also chose to use the same office for the first time as well. We all showed up to be taken back for the cleaning. While the staff was polite and seemed to be professional, the up-sell and deceptive business practices that followed will ensure that this is the last time we will go to this dentist.I first was taken to a room where X-rays were taken which I assumed would be needed for a new patient. The equipment was modern and newer than I had experienced with my former dentist. I was then led to the exam room where the doctor reviewed my X-rays and informed me of areas to be watching. Then, the business director came in with a list of additional work that they suggested and why they wanted more money than the insurance would cover. I informed the lady that I only was there for a cleaning. She had me sign via the signature tablet attached to the chair (very slick) and the dental hygienist showed up to start the cleaning. She used equipment that I had not seen before but I assumed was part of the “new” cleaning methods. Part way through the experience I asked if this was a new cleaning method and the hygienist said that she was doing the extra work that I had confirmed with my signature. I stopped her immediately saying that I was only there for a cleaning. She put her equipment away, never did the cleaning and walked me to the front desk. I was embarrassed when they asked me to pay for this additional work even though I did not consent to it taking place. I allowed them to charge $211 additional dollars to my credit card but recently got another insurance bill for $506.I found the process and practice of this office to be very shady and it was confirmed when my wife also said that she had to stop them from doing a laser treatment during her first visit. I had a few days to retrace my steps and where a miscommunication could’ve happened, but come to the conclusion that the hard-sell from the business manager, the convenient signature pad attached to the dental chair and the abrupt dismissal without explanation is simply a process that is meant to intimidate patients to pay for services beyond the insurance limits.Upon contacting the site manager using the number listed below I was able to clarify my situation. He assured that they always try to make sure that the clients know what they are paying for and describe the procedures well. He said that he'd be willing to refund for the work not covered by insurance. He also explained that the $506 quoted from insurance was not what was owed and that the quotes from insurance can be confusing. Although we won't be going back, I do feel that my situation has been rectified.“
