I know nothing about filing a tax return. Only that I want to owe as little as possible. A friend recommend I meet with Kim, owner of Southside Tax Services, as he had greatly helped her with her return. I decided to give it a try given that my previous year's experience with H&R Block was not the best. I must admit that I did worry that the cost of gas out to San Marcos might outweigh my refund but phew! It did not. Kim was fantastic. He not only plugged my numbers in but he also told me what those numbers were. He then sent me home to find additional documents that would potentially bump up my return. And they did! The cost to file with Southside was reasonable and almost half of what H&R Block had charged...hooray!
