Derek Ortiz is the barber you want to see! Not only did I get a great hair cut, I learned a lot of things about San Marcos that I didn't know and I had some great conversations. If you are looking to get a haircut in San Marcos Derek is your guy.Specialties: Everything.
Found Hanley’s this morning and booked with Derek Ortiz. He was on time, focused on the haircut, and we had great conversation. I got a 10/10 cut and will definitely be coming back to him!Edit: While my barber was out of town, I went to the other Derick who cuts hair here and he also gave me a 10/10 cut. All around this is an excellent barber shop and so glad it’s in my hometown! Not only great cuts, but great conversations too.
We take our teenage son to Derek about every 6-8 weeks to maintain his curly (3b) hair. He does a fantastic job each time, he’s always running on time, and is super friendly even with my reticent teen. The shop itself is a relaxed masculine centric modern barbershop. There is space to wait and free adult beverages for the 21+ crowd. Go see Derek, you won’t regret it.Services: Haircut
