I'm retired military and needed a haircut fir a job interview. I've been going to the base for my haircuts but I was denied entry on Monday because the base isn't allowing 27 year, 100% fully disabled combat veterans on base except on Wednesdays and Fridays, yet they allow their Airmen into our cities and recently allowed over 2500 students to travel home for the holidays. Sounds as if the Chinese Premier is running the base but it's actually Col Nazzario (Puerto Rican decent). He leaves in the summer.... thank you Jesus. Anyhow I digress. So I've been driving past the Hair Force Salon for years yet I've never given it a try because quite frankly the building looks dilapidated and unsanitary. Anyway I gave it a try, only out of sheer necessity and WOW, my mind was blown away! It was a religious experience. I received a haircut from Pat. It happened to be his 75th Bday. This is an old school barber. My Dad who passed away some 30 years ago would take me as a child to a barber who would shave the back and sides of your head with a straight razor and afterwards the barber would place a hot towel on your head. My Dad would sit by me as he had shaved his beard by another barber. Dad would receive a hot towel on his cheeks and chin. The last time I received this type of old school haircut was when I was five years old. It was quite frankly the best haircut I've ever received. The haircuts are only 12 bucks and they are worth even more. I was so impressed that I tipped Pat $20 dollars for the haircut and for the nostalgic experience. I felt like a five year again and it was as if my Dad was in the chair besides me! It is damn near impossible to find old school barbers in the mold of Pat. Pat has gained a brand new loyal customer. Do yourself a favor and drive down to his shop....you'll feel as if you stepped in the past much like Kevin Costner did in "The Field of Dreams".

Love this place. Cheap prices for a great haircut along with razor shave for military types. Only issue is when they get too many customers and the wait is too long with only one or two barbers. Overall a great place if and when you get in there without a line.
