“On May 30th, my world (and a huge chunk of my home) came crashing down. Straight line winds took out 2 enormous trees in the neighbors yard. When they came down they took our shared fence, my roof, my attached pergola (ripping bricks out of the back wall), damaged my air conditioner, and filled my swimming pool. They also took out the power lines leaving us without electricity for 9 days. Left in the dark, unable to get out my sliding glass door, and with rain pouring through the kitchen ceiling, the panic set in!

How was I going to arrange all this work? Where should I even start? All the insurance company said was to get quotes and wait for an adjuster. But with half the city in the same boat, how could I avoid being taken advantage of?

Thankfully my sister and BIL had recently done business with Josh Mercer at Capitol Roofing & Construction. I called him the next morning and he was out that afternoon. I cannot BEGIN to express how wonderful this man, and this company are. Josh dealt with my every need with compassion, urgency and professionalism.

Capitol got a team to my house immediately to tarp the roof and mitigate any further damage. Josh dealt with my insurance company every step of the way. He was here to walk the damage with the Field Adjuster, and negotiated payment for all the work with the Claims Agent. I could NEVER have handled this on my own, and arranging for different crews to repair my multiple layers of damage would have been impossible.

Each crew that they sent was top notch, and the work that they did was outstanding. Josh got me more than I ever dreamed possible and my home looks better than it ever has. Within 90 days all trees and debris were removed, I had a new roof and roof deck, new gutters, a new 3 Ton HVAC system, all damage to brick and fascia repaired seamlessly, a new improved cedar pergola, a new kitchen ceiling with updated LED lighting, and a peace of mind that money can’t buy.

Even though my neighbors were having full replacement done to their roofs, my insurance company thought there was only minimal damage to my roof and were paying an amount totally inadequate to do the actual repair. “Mark was extremely professional and knowledgeable. In 2021 Mark inspected my roof and said I had enough hail damage to make an insurance claim. I contacted Allstate insurance and my roof was inspected for a much lower amount of damage than the actual amount.. Since Allstate estimate of damage was only $300 above my deductible I initially decided that it was not worth it to get my roof replaced. Mark recommended we hire a public adjuster to challenge Allstate insurance low ball estimate. I never knew such a thing (public adjuster) existed. Mark contacted his public adjuster and the public adjuster's damage estimate was over 10 times the amount of Allstate insurance estimate. Allstate did not agree with the public adjuster and refused to pay for the actual damage dollar amount. So Mark then recommended we hire his attorney. I agreed with Mark and Mark's lawyer was able to get Allstate insurance to pay for the actual amount of damage. Today Mark installed a new roof with top of the line shingles and Ridgeline vents. His crew completed the entire job in 1 day. It looks fantastic. If it was not for Mark's knowledge and persistence, I would not have a new roof. I didn't know a home owner could challenge an insurance company by hiring a public adjuster and attorney but Mark did.. Mark deserves all the credit. Thank you so much Mark and TMP roofing.“
