Austin Air Conditioning Inc. has been providing excellent service to homeowners in the Austin area since 1990, with many customers having called them for years and considering them their go-to source for whole-home comfort. The company is family-owned and operated. One customer had a positive experience with the technician Chino, who was described as great and amazing. However, they were disappointed with the delay in getting their unit fixed, which was not attended to until Tuesday evening despite calls made on Saturday and Sunday. They appreciated Chino's expertise and fast work. Another customer had issues with their heat pumps during a heatwave, which required two appointments to fix. The failure of the newer unit was caused by ants in the outside unit. The technician turned off the diverter to send all cool air to the first floor and recommended adding mothballs to deter ants. The customer appreciated the technician's work but had to acquire mothballs themselves as the technician did not have any on hand. A different technician was able to identify that the customer's system was low on refrigerant, which was not detected by two previous technicians due to the 2-stage system. With additional refrigerant, the system was working as expected. Overall, Austin Air Conditioning has a history of excellent service, with technicians who are knowledgeable and able to diagnose and fix problems quickly. However, there were some issues with delays in response and the availability of materials on hand.
