My first experience with this place was when my provider's office sent them a referral and the referral went to the wrong office so that office was asked to forward it to the correct office when they contacted me and they informed me they would. I thought I would hear from them like I did from the first office whom was extremely eager to contact me and try to get me in for an evaluation, but that never happened. So, I took upon myself to find their number and call them to see if they had received the referral to which their receptionist informed me that they had the information there. So I asked when I could schedule something and the lady says it would be 6 weeks away, WOW!!! I schedule the visit and when it finally gets here they charge me my $40 copay for a visit because it was an evaluate and treat session. When I told the woman that the therapist didn't provide any treatment whatsoever, that she barely got through the evaluation/assessment so I didn't under them charging me. I told her my understanding was that any time I came in to be evaluated for therapy it should be free and again she reiterated that it was because it was evaluate and treatment. At my very first actual appointment I check in and I sit and wait and the receptionist just up and runs to the back saying, "Oh my God, I forgot!" But never bothered saying what she was talking about until she came back 10 minutes later and told me that my therapist had called in sick and that I would be working with somebody else and that they would be up shortly. I also recall the list of items that was provided by my provider that she wanted to be done during therapy and zero, none, not a one has been addressed or worked on during our sessions so far by the therapist and I feel like I'm just floundering around pressing my tightened abs and glutes into the back of the chair lol. I began writing this review on 11/14/2023 and all this had happened. After 11/20/2023 I quit going to PT with Select because after the 11/14 appointment I notified the therapist that I had been pushed too hard and that I had gone home that evening and developed severe muscle cramping to the point that I couldn't get out of some of the cramps for over an hour at one point. When I was at therapy on 11/20/2023 the therapist only asked me if I had contacted my physician's office to let them know about what had happened to me and about my new symptoms. I informed them that I didn't feel like what was being doing was effective and that I felt like I was being hurt. I went back to PT on 11/27/2023 and was put through the same painful exercises and decided I couldn't return anymore.
I will preface by saying the treatment and hospitality I received was excellent. That said, I was given an estimate for the cost of the medical care I would receive and paid dilligently each time the amount requestd (one missed, but caught up payment). Then, months later, I have been informed that they were not charging me enough ad that now I had an outstanding balance. Again, this was resolved. Then, I had a final balance, which was sent to collections. This is unacceptable. Had I been informed of the full and accurate price of each session, I would never have had a balance, never gone to collections, and honestly, probanly stopped going as soon as my knee was remotely better. The practice of charging insufficiently, then asking for more later is borderline fraud, and exploitave of my discretion. I have paid hundreds of dollars extra because I did not receive an accurate price for months. Had I been on a budget this would have been credit-destroying. Great treatment. Avoid at all cost.
I give this place a 5 Star rating. Great front staff and Joseph Milton is awesome! When I doubt myself about the progress of getting my finger back to normal, he comes in with encouraging words and patients. He is super nice and very helpful.
