“My Mother was recently a patient at Palacios Community Medical Center. She had surgery at a different Hospital and needed Skilled Level Care to help her get back on her feet. She is 92 and was affected in a bad way by the anesthesia. Truthfully, it did not look good and we were concerned about her recovery. We were also concerned that we were not familiar with the Palacios Hospital’s Swing Bed Program or what kind of care she might receive there.Unfortunately after 2 weeks she was still in a bad way and could not get out of bed. It did not look good….it was at that time when I really saw this facilities true colors. Where a lot of facilities would have given up at this point. Especially with a patient of her age. They did just the opposite. I could not believe how kind, patient and positive they were with her recovery. They kept working and working with her and I am so grateful to say that after 2 more weeks of intensive therapy combined with compassionate Top Notch care, they have brought my Mother back. She is on her feet and heading home. It’s absolutely been and answer to our prayers. I want to Thank the entire staff with a special Thanks to P.T. Alex, RNs Missy and Christina as well as Huyen Tran (Care Coordinator), I am not easy to deal with and she was always patient and professional.I want to Thank Everyone again for your kindness, hard work and commitment to your patients.I was very impressed and highly recommend this facility.“
