I recently moved into an older house. Within a month of moving in the ac indoor fan motor went out. I called a few places in Abilene- and all said there's no way they could get to my house to even look at the ac for a few days (it's middle of summer in Texas 100+ deg outside)... one phone call to fire and ice in merkel and they were at my house within the hour. The service tech (Jacob) was very courteous, informative, and was able to save me ALOT of money.. needless to say if I ever have ac or heating issues in the future FIRE AND ICE will be my first call. Jacob- you were beyond professional and even though my child was annoying you. I appreciate the way you handled him. Taught him a thing or 2 also.. thanks again.

I have had Fire and Ice from Merkle service units four times at three different homes in Abilene. The first time, initially my home warranty company (Old Republic Home Protection Co.) had assigned another HVAC company that never showed up. So I asked ORHP to assign a different company. They assigned Fire and Ice on Thursday morning around 9am. About two hours later, Jacob from Fire and Ice phoned. He said he could be at my home in about 20 minutes. He came, found the problem, went to buy a replacement control board, came back and installed it. The repair was finished at least before 2 pm, maybe sooner. He was friendly and focused, and professional in dress and demeanor. That is the way repairs are supposed to take place. Top notch! (Description of Work:Ruud Ultra Series heat pump outdoor unit fan constantly ran.) On subsequent occasions (including two days ago), they have arrived when they said they would, have come quickly, have been professional, and have done quality work at a reasonable price, have not overcharged..
