I recently had the pleasure of working with Texas Pride Roofing & Fencing for a roof repair project, and I was thoroughly impressed with their customer service. We carefully searched for roofers for our insurance claim for near two years. In this quest we met a range of contractor choices from crooked sheisters to n’er do wells to ‘just getting a paycheck’ types and to polished up ‘professional’ slicksters. Some of these people said the right things but maybe in a wrong way. Then you also have to listen for what they don’t say. Fortunately a friend referred us to our ultimate choice roofer which was Texas Pride Roofing. The owner, Bret Dickey, demonstrated professionalism to me that he knows his work and cares about his brand. He explained the claims process and allowed me to modify contract terms to my satisfaction. Followed by timely delivering of the right materials beforehand for my inspection, he and his roofing crew arrived on time on the set date and got right to it. Things they did that three previous roofers over the years did not do: 1-laid out debris catching tarps, 2-replaced damaged decking, which I could see from my attic, which previous roofers had simply covered up, 3-recommended and added soffit vents to create more attic circulation leading to less shingle heat stress, 4-covered the whirlybird cutouts with screen to keep out pesky rodents. 5-Upon examining my hot water heater vent they discovered burn evidence around the decking and replaced that decking and stabilized the vent pipe. 6-They straightened out my furnace vent pipe which has been leaning considerably to one side for more than 30 years! I highly recommend this roofing company and they are the real deal. Bret was constantly available in person or by phone - before, during and afterwards. Bret is a hard-working, honest, responsive contractor. It isn’t easy to find people who you trust to be in your house for days on end, but you can with these guys. They do quality work, show up when they are supposed to, and finish the job within the time quoted. They have painted our house and then sheet rock repairs and the pricing was fair. I will definitely use them again!
