“I’m from the Houston area and ended up having my baby in the lufkin area as an emergency c-section and possible hysterectomy because I was hemorrhaging …I was traveling back and forth everyday when my baby boy was still in the NICU .This lufkin WIC clinic …helped me so much!!.. during the time they gave me a breast pump that actually fit my breast .I was able to pump in the car and in the NICU ..because of them I was able to feed my baby properly .with the right mom tools I needed to feed my baby !…and I was not from the lufkin area !…they helped me figure out how I could get help with my WIC card with the circumstances….I was able to get milk so I could produce more milk for my baby.I was able to get vegetables so I could feed my baby nutritious breast milk . I bought a pump from target and it did not fit my nips whatsoever! ..So I was super stoked to get a breast pump right down the street from where I needed to be for my baby ! ..although we were two hours out of town ! So I really appreciate! The work WIC did to meet me halfway because of this lufkin WIC clinic I was able to produce the milk my baby needed at the time to be strong enough to breathe on his own and gain the weight he needed to come home.
