I cannot recommend Texas State Optical and especially Dr. Yaseen Waqar enough. We have been in previously multiple times for check up and Dr. Waqar is prompt, professional and very kind. Our son had a sport injury below his eye and he did a very thorough exam explaining everything he was doing and putting our nervous son at ease. Today our son got a scratch at school and TSO was able to get us in right away and with Dr. Waqar. Once again he did a full exam and prescribed antibiotics and drops for pain. We are so thankful we went straight to TSO instead of wasting time at an Urgent Care. Highly recommend Dr. Waqar and all of his staff.

Got my glasses updated here, was a great experience! Everyone who works here is very nice and patient. 2 weeks later had to come back for a medical issue, and the doctor was great, helped me take care of it quickly. After my first visit I was told to come back for a follow up visit that would be no charge because it was only going to be ~10 minutes to make sure I was looking better. The follow up it was quick and I got the thumbs up, but ended up being charged $40 when leaving. I already knew I was doing better, so if I knew I was going to have to pay I probably would've just skipped the follow up visit. Overall great experience, I just felt a little mislead.

Robin has outstanding customer service. She was very helpful with my purchase of 2 new pairs of glasses. Look for her on your next appointment. A big shout out to Stephanie also who did all the prep work and made me feel comfortable before the doctor saw me.
