“I went in for my first time here to see Mary on 11/30. Let me start with, I did hair for 14 years and got out a while back, but I am still always so nervous when getting a haircut. I have tried a couple other places here in Kyle, and I just was not comfortable during my visit, just either not too friendly stylists, the feeling of them rushing through it then charging an arm and leg and it would NOT be worth the price, etc. I am not one to ever complain or anything so I just pay it and go. Haven't necessarily had a horrible cut, just not a great experience to where I wanted to go back. So I made my appt here at Out of the Blue Salon, after reading good reviews online, and I wanted a "Sexy stacked bob cut". From the start of walking in the door, Mary was busy with a client, but she greeted me, and asked if I wanted to sit in the chair next to them and just visit while she finished up. They were talking and including me in the conversation, just laughing and having a good time. She finished up, then got me in her chair, looked at my pics and talked about what I wanted. I got great shampoo, then the conversation just flowed from there while she was cutting my hair. It took me back to some of the awesome stylists I worked with over the years, and I felt so at ease and comfortable. It did not feel like an uppity, snooty place, (Like the others) but it was clean and cute inside. We literally talked and laughed the whole time she was cutting. I also told her how I always say to go longer because I am scared, but I always end up going back to get it shorter. She reassured me that if I had any issue with anything or wanted it to be shorter, to not hesitate to come back in and she would take care of it, no problem. I left there paying the best price for a haircut that I have paid in a long time, and it is the best cut I have had in a long time as well. I left and immediately called my husband to tell him I was on my way home, and that I had found my new stylist. I will DEFINITELY be returning to Mary for my cuts. I may even stop having my husband help me with my coloring at home and come to her for that too, lol. If you have any doubts about trying a place, look no further. Also, the salon is ran by her and her mom, and they have been doing hair over 25 years. Thank you Mary, for an awesome experience!!!“

“After a very challenging month, I finally found a window of opportunity for some much-needed self-care and visited my favorite salon in Kyle for a mani-pedi. I ended up calling an audible when time allowed me to try out the head spa—and oh my goodness, it was amazing! I didn’t realize it included a mini facial and massage. It was incredibly relaxing and so well done.

I’d love to make this part of my weekly routine, but with my schedule, that’s a stretch. One thing I really appreciated, though, was that I was able to do this without an appointment—such a bonus! I’ll definitely try to squeeze it in at least quarterly.
