Went into the Kerville, TX branch today to inquire about some savings options. The person I spoke with came across as though they could care less about whether I moved my money there or not. Came across as though I was wasting their time. Won't be putting my money there.

We purchased a manufactured home in a hurry...it was a very good deal. we were hoping to lower payments (from a 425k home in Center Point to a 137K in Ingram). We rushed to sign papers and when the dust settled, we were paying SEVEN PERCENT INTEREST and the mortgage term was 15 yrs. instead of 30. NO ONE EVER P0INTED THIS OUT TO US! Our payments were HUGE and we ended up selling after 7 months. TAX TIME...NO DOCUMENTATION RE: MORTGAGE INTEREST PAYMENTS OR PROPERTY TAXES PAID...i mean, ISN'T THAT AN IRS REQUIREMENT, a 1099 or something??? additionally they were unable to tells us how much we paid in property taxes, which were actually COLLECTED BY THEM AND PAID TO THE COUNTY ASSESSOR. STICK TO THE BIG BANKS...

If i could give 0 stars for this location I would, in fact I made this Yelp just to write this review. That's how bad it is. I love security state bank and trust as a bank, and I enjoy banking with them in Fredericksburg. However, the Kerrville location is absolutely horrible!!! They have no interest in helping their customers, and make each transaction much more difficult than it needs to be! My husband works Monday through Saturday and doesn't get off until 5 which is when the bank closes. So he asked me to turn in his paperwork for him so he could get online banking. I go to turn it in and despite telling them I'm his wife they won't accept the paperwork from me! It's been 2 weeks now that we have been trying to get him to be able to have the privilege to online bank. I called to get some information and the woman on the phone literally groaned when I ask her if she could look up the access ID that I forgot. She LITERALLY groaned...is that how you react to a customers question? Horrible service! My husband is regretting having switched banks and unfortunately I'm regretting having convinced him to.
