I first visited Dr. Shiha in October 2020 for what I believed to be a badly pinched nerve in my back that had been causing nearly unbearable pain for about four weeks. During my first visit, Dr. Shiha showed me a stretch/position to perform that gave me real relief for the first time since the pain began. Just that alone proved to me that I had come to the right place. A few days later, I met with Dr. Shiha to go over the results of my x-rays. He was confident he could help me, explained in great detail and easy-to-understand ways what was causing my pain, and gave me a detailed care plan that I chose to move forward with. His goal to determine and treat the root cause and not just the symptoms of my pain is something that really appealed to me. Years earlier, I had gone down a long path of treating symptoms of knee pain that never resulted in any long term relief. Other doctors had me try shots and pills to help manage the pain for my knee. I had no interest in going down the same route again. The results from Dr. Shiha’s care have been better than I could have imagined. I have continued to see Dr. Shiha on a regular, monthly basis and plan to continue to do so for the foreseeable future. My overall well-being has improved and has become more easily sustainable in large part to being under Dr. Shiha’s care. His ability to listen, the sincerity with which he does, and his ability to explain usually complex, technical medical analysis so that you truly understand are all amazing and very comforting. I referred my wife to see Dr. Shiha which has resulted in similar positive benefits for her health and well-being. The level of care and professionalism shown to us by both Dr. Shihah and his wife, Mary, who handles all of the clerical and appointment duties for The Clinic, has been above and beyond any we have experienced before in the healthcare industry. I cannot overstate my highest recommendation for Dr. Shiha to anyone in search of Chiropractic care.

I started seeing Dr. Shiha six months ago for my anxiety and hypochondria. Initially it was my husband who was seeing him for his back and shoulder problems, and he couldn’t stop talking about how amazing this doctor was. Then my husband saw a sign in the office that said chiropractors can help with anxiety and urged me to go for a consultation. I’d never heard of using chiropractor care for anything other than back and shoulder pain, but I was curious and honestly desperate… so this was my last-ditch effort before trying anti-anxiety medication. From the very first visit it was clear that Dr. Shiha was unlike any doctor I’ve ever known or even heard of. When we started talking, I wasn’t sure where to start. There was so much to say, and I felt like I should try to summarize ten years in to five sentences. When meeting with doctors, it usually seems like their next appointment starts in ten minutes, so you better hurry up. But Dr. Shiha didn’t rush me at all. He really, truly listened with 100% attention on what I was saying. I’ve never in my entire life had a doctor do that. He let me talk without interrupting me, and he asked sincere, thoughtful questions. It’s a little shocking at first. I kept feeling that trained urge to speed things up and get on with it, but he urged me to take my time and made me feel at ease. His ability to listen with true care and concern is so rare and special, not only among medical professionals but people in general. From day one he had the ability to ask thought-provoking questions that helped me look at things from a fresh perspective. He took x-rays and had interesting ideas about what he saw and how it may be contributing to my concerns. Since then, I feel like he’s become my friend and therapist who also happens to be a chiropractor. When something health related happens, he’s the first person I want to tell. He’s listened to so much and shared his wealth of knowledge and insight. He has never once rushed me or made me feel silly for my concerns. He has a gift for understanding and validating. He’s so knowledgeable about the brain and body connection. I’ve learned so much from him. So yes, he adjusts my neck, and my x-rays have improved, but the conversations we have about exercise, self-care, nutrition, and life in general have benefited me just as much. Using this kind of treatment plan to help with anxiety is a slow and gradual process. But over time I realized that I hadn’t had a panic attack in a long time. And then I realized that I wasn’t panicking over triggers that used to send me spiraling. When I did have moments of panic, I noticed they weren’t as bad and didn’t last as long. I’m so thankful to know Dr. Shiha. I’m thankful for the progress I’ve made over the last six months, and I’m thankful to have such a truly impressive doctor on my side. My husband and I are “customers” for life.

I've known I needed to see a chiropractor for years. I'm only 26 and I felt like nothing was going right with my body no matter what I did. I am truly taken aback by all that Dr. Shiha was able to pin point about my life/past from my xrays. Today Dr. Shiha did an adjustment in my neck area (I don't know medical lingo so bare with me) and I'm brought to tears of gratitude, relief & joy with the results. I'm standing taller with what feels to me like significantly less slouching, my legs are almost the same length which is now allowing me to distribute my weight evenly, my shoulders feel more even and before I couldn't look straight naturally (my head shifted to the left). Everything feels more balanced and straighter. For those who know me personally or have known my art journey y'all know depression anxiety have been part of my life for a decade to the point I almost committed suicide only 13 months ago. Dr. Shiha explained to me that because of this injury my body has been living in survival mode and affecting my mental health. Just the thought alone that working on this injury can not only alleviate my physical pains and issues, but alleviate mental and emotional demons I've fought with so long, is indescribable and the best gift I could ask for. It sounds so silly, but just standing rn overwhelms me with so much gratitude. Not only is Dr. Shiha great at what he does, but both him and Mary are so kind. I have never been to a medical facility that makes me feel genuinely cared about. They take time to speak to you and get to know who you are while listening to your concerns. Their professionalism, kindness & patience makes the whole experience enjoyable and gives you hope when you may not be feeling it. I'm looking forward to my future appointments. Thank you both Dr. Shiha & Mary If y'all ever need a chiropractor I highly recommend Dr. Shiha. I live in Cypress and drive to Katy for his care and to be honest, I would drive further if I had to.
