My daughter is home for a visit and her car broke down in the driveway. Thought it just needed a new starter. After trying DIY, discovered it was a job for a younger man. Called Michael and he came to the house 2 hours later. His quotation was fair. After replacing the starter, we discovered the REAL problem was a bad rod bearing and likely the engine had seized, only to restart after cooling down and having a new starter. Major disappointment as the car is a 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee with 170K miles. Michael is one in a million. I'm very leary of most mechanics. It took me 4 others before Michael to honestly and professionally get my vehicle back to smooth running. A colleague of a friend of mine recommended him as a mobile mechanic. On his initial visit, he showed up on time and was waiting on me! He did a more thorough investigation than I had ever seen a mechanic do. Most just plug in a code reader and diagnose without digging in. He gave me a fair estimate for the work needed. Unfortunately I didn't heed his advice and ended up needing to replace the entire engine.
