Been here 40 years ago, Master Kim Soo might not remember me, but long time ago he told our class that he fought Bruce Lee. We didn't believe him at first, but then he showed us a picture of him and Bruce Lee. I believe Bruce Lee was doing a demonstration on him. I just want to tell master Kim Soo thank you.

I've been there with my Best friend and I loved it at the time. I had a few associates who were already into karate and so and so and had belts and sashes, so it was a pleasure to get a free pass to visit and participate that one day. This was back in 2013, I think but every so often I am nearby and would like to visit again Kim Soo. Thank you.

Without a doubt, the best martial arts in Houston. More than karate or taekwondo, Chayon Ryu teaches discipline, physical fitness, self-respect, self-defense, and respect for others.

Our approach to martial arts fitness is of science and philosophy. As we are not a sport-oriented school, we don't emphasize trophies, nor do we encourage tournament-type competitions. The importance of safety and natural movements keep students practicing in a risk-free and friendly environment. The instructors are highly trained, very knowledgeable, and most helpful to all members. As of 2022, we celebrate our 54th year in the great city of Houston, Texas. This type of exercise and learning cater to the everyday person who is interested in improving themselves from within, as well as promoting good physical health.
